Street Chef Philippines

Street Chef Philippines
Bar & Grill. Family Style Restaurant
The Best Street Food "Where Tradition Meets Fusion"

Why street chef? What kind of food they serve?

Street Chef, because most of their chef is not actually graduated as a chef but they are known as a good cook from their location but as per the co-owner of this restaurant, their cook are allowed to take courses in TESDA for culinary to grow and that was good for them.

Adobong Adidas
We know some of the street food in our country like fish balls, tokneneng, lugaw and a lot more but to name some of the common street food they have in their menu is chicken feet but not the usual grilled chicken feet, they called it Adobong Adidas. Another one is Balut but with a twist, they called it sizzling Balut and once you see it, it looks like meat balls coated of sticky sauce. They make some popular food into more exciting not just in look but in taste also.

Sizzling Balut
If you've been to other country like Singapore you will see in some streets they sell buttered crab, in Bangkok they sell Pad Thai in their streets but if you will notice in our country, you will able to eat that kind of street food in other country in some of our restaurant not just restaurant a fine dining restaurant. So in Street Chef Philippines they have that kind of food that is great price that does not sacrifice the taste. If you can check their menu they also serve lutong bahay, pasta, grilled dishes like pork but only available at 10 pm, they also have dessert and I'm sure you will like it, for the drinks, they have a perfect ice tea with secret ingredients and also they have alcohol drinks too. Other services they have are catering, bulk orders and delivery services. Other famous food in their menu are Famous Dinuguan Sa Kawali, Crispy Pata, Buffalo Wings, Cripy Pata, Crispy Ulo, Kalderetang Kambing, Kilawin, Sisig.

Our Food for Dinner
Tochong Bangus
Street Pinakbet
Adobong Adidas (braised chicken feet)
Street Pinakbet
Sizzling Balut
Beef and Mushroom
Spicy Tapa

Baked Macaroni
Leche de Mango
Red Ice Tea
Gabriella Cocktail
Tochong Bangus, this is not the tochong bangus that I was expected, thinking of with sauce and a lot of vegetables like eggplant, carrot, sweet potato leaves etc. (that’s my Lola’s version) but here in Streetchef is different although the taste was also good, the fried fish topped with crushed tomato and onion with the taste of fish paste (bagoong). Spicy Tapa, It looks good and the taste is good also, the beef is tender. Beef and Mushroom, this is good, I really like the creamy sauce that compliments to the mushroom and beef.  Street Pinakbet, this is good also, all vegetables are not overcooked, once your bite it is still crunchy. This pinakbet is different to the usual pinakbet that I know maybe because of the meat they used is lechon kawali  (pan-roasted pork dish) because usually they just put shrimp or ground pork. Adobong Adidas, this is one of the common street food but like what I said, it is usually grilled but this time it was cooked as Adobong Adidas (braised chicken feet), and if you really like chicken feet you must try Adobong Adidas with chili flakes. Sizzling Balut, this one is very intriguing, at first you will think it is meat balls but it is a true Balut (boiled fertilized egg of duck) coated of a creamy sauce that was so yummy and once you bite the Balut with that sauce, the taste blends well. Baked Macaroni, the taste was good but not too creamy. For our dessert, Leche de Mango, this dessert is made of mango and leche plan, it was a good combination of a not so sweet leche plan with the taste of ripe mango. For our drinks, Red Ice Tea, its different taste was originally made only at Street Chef Philippines restaurant. Gabriella Cocktail, less level of alcohol, like a punch juice.

From the food that we have tried, I will recommend, beef and mushroom, pinakbet and Sizzling Balut.

If you will see the place, when the first time you see the place you will said in yourself is this a restaurant? Or a Carinderia? It looks like a big garage, it is not air conditioned but they have electric stand fan in different area in other words it was an open air place. But whatever you think it still the best to try their food and their services because once you tasted their food, you will said to yourself, ' wow, the food was good and I enjoy it'.  They have 9 dining sets each set can accommodate 4 persons but because the place is so wide they can still setup more dining sets to accommodate other customers.

Last holiday they offered holiday's menu but I think this is still available when you pre-order.

  1. Wow Delicious!

It's great to know that the chefs there are not really "chefs" who studied culinary and all.

But they are the more exprienced ones, and I prefer that.

Your blog is enticing. Makes me wanna eat again whenever I read your post.

  6. I think, that's the only Balut i can eat because it's more cooked than boiled prematurely by some vendors.

Just a suggestion, they might want to clean their facade.

    Thanks!

  8. wow! most of the food presented were all familiar to the Filipino palate..I agree, to be a good, one doesn't have to be a graduate of a culinary school. I'm doing consultancy for some restaurants and most of our cooks are made through experience--- but they all cook very very well!
